Terms of Service

  • Ensure your pet has not eaten for at least 2 hours prior to any appointment.
  • Ensure your pet has had the chance to urinate and defecate immediately before swimming.

Defecation in the pool results in a probable pool closure of 24 hours and a charge of £50.

  • We strongly recommend that for your safety, you wear non-slip footwear.
  • If your dog has any temperament issues with human or other dogs, please bring this to the attention of a member of staff prior to the first session.
  • Keep your dog on a lead at all times until a member of staff tells you it is safe.

Please remember we have injured dogs on the premises that can feel threatened and could be hurt by normal friendly behaviour.

  • The length of treatment initially may vary from only a few minutes to 20 minutes, depending on your dog’s condition and may increase as fitness improves.
  • Client may be asked to walk/run/participate in exercises/therapy to motivate your dog and you understand there are trip/slip hazards, including other people and dogs present; please inform a member of staff if you are unable or unwilling to participate.
  • I will inform Pawseidon if I have any disability or medical condition that limits my ability to participate or puts me at greater risk of injury.
  • I understand my responsibility for the safety and behaviour of visitors accompanying me whilst at Pawseidon. If you bring your children to observe the session, they must remain under your close supervision at all times and in all areas of the centre.
  • I understand, whilst every care is taken of the dogs undergoing treatment and in the maintenance of the water and equipment, all dogs receive all Pawseidon treatments entirely at their owner’s risk.
  • I will inform Pawseidon of any changes to medication, any surgical procedures or changes in veterinary advice affecting my dog.
  • I understand that any of these changes may affect the type and duration of treatment.
  • I will inform Pawseidon if my dog is receiving treatment elsewhere, e.g. physiotherapist, chiropractor, massage treatment, etc.
  • I will notify Pawseidon if during a course of treatment, the dog’s injury or condition worsens, or if the veterinary surgeon advises that the treatment is to be stopped or suspended.
  • I will inform Pawseidon immediately if my dog has open wound, contracts any infections or contagious disease, such as ear, eye, skin infections, gastric upset, kennel cough etc. Owners are advised to cancel appointments with at least 24 hours’ notice until the condition is clear. Normal cancellation conditions apply.
  • Physical exercise together with the pressure of the water on the chest and abdomen can put more stress on your dog’s cardio-respiratory functions. If there is an undiagnosed cardiac or respiratory condition your dog could be at risk. Whilst all due care will be taken, if your dog has a diagnosed or undiagnosed spinal condition, there is a possibility their condition could be worsened by hydrotherapy.
  • If you are late:

Up to 15 minutes late – we will start the session, but your dog(s) will be required to leave the pool area to enable the next clients’ appointments to start punctually.

Over 15 minutes late – we are not willing to compromise your dog’s treatment, as we will not be able to provide a productive therapy session, so your session will be cancelled, and the full charge will apply.

  • Pawseidon requires a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. At the discretion of Pawseidon, session fees will be charged in full if an appointment is broken, missed or cancelled without 24 hours’ notice. You may notify us by telephone or e-mail.
  • Pawseidon reserve the right to use any video footage and photographic stills taken during sessions for publication on the website or social media platforms. If you are not happy for us to use your animal’s photo or video, please let us know
  • If your dog defecates, please clean up and dispose of it. Bags and bin are available on request.
  • Bitches in season will not be able to attend sessions until their season has finished.
  • All treatment courses (e.g.10 pre-paid) must be paid in advance and are not refundable, including those to be part of an insurance claim. Individual sessions must be paid on the day of treatment.
  • Pawseidon reserves the right to refuse treatment to any dog.
  • Pawseidon cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to vehicles or personal property whilst on the premises.
  • Pawseidon will not be held responsible for any personal injury incurred whilst at the centre.
  • I understand and will comply with Pawseidon Fire Safety regulations.
  • The personal data that we collect about you will include data relating to your contact details, health and medical conditions of your dog and records and history of their treatments. This data will be securely stored up to 5 years, complying with GDPR regulations and will be used in Pawseidon Hydro-hub for communication with you. You have the right to ask to access your data.
